    Job Summary & Responsibilities:


    • SecdB is a living trading system that runs the firm's entire derivative business. You will learn a lot about the tools and techniques needed to maintain such an important platform, including immersion in our in-house open source culture
    • You will also start learning about the business of derivatives transactions. Whilst we do not delve into businesses as much as individual front office tech teams, we must be able to understand many facets of the various businesses that we interact with, and we will teach you and encourage you to self-learn


    Basic Qualification:


    • We need someone who is a solid coder. We don't mind what language, although we find that C/C++, Java, Javascript, Lua, Python, Ruby, or Scala are good languages to have. We do imperative, OO and functional coding, so we expect you to be willing to leave your comfort zone and try something new


    Preferred Qualifications:


    • We don't expect you to know anything about finance, but we are very happy to take people who do
    • Database experience is useful; both classic relational, or more modern NoSQL
