We help them buy and sell financial products on exchanges around the world, raise funding, and manage risk. This is a dynamic, entrepreneurial team with a passion for the markets, with individuals who thrive in fast-paced, changing environments and are energized by a bustling trading floor.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Experiences We Are Looking For:

    • Responsibilities will be a well balanced mix of deal origination, deal execution, portfolio management and value creation
    • In each of these functional responsibilities, Associates are expected to take significant leadership roles – shaping Goldman’s investment thesis for specific verticals and identifying and building relationships with the key companies in those verticals, leading key due diligence workstreams, directly working with c-level executives within the portfolio on value creation initiatives, and building and maintaining new relationships across the European technology ecosystem (VC’s, advisors, intermediaries, etc.)
    • Entry as senior Analyst / junior Associate depending on experience

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification and an excellent academic and professional record; MBA helpful but not required
    • Analyst or Associate with 1-2 years of growth-oriented technology investing experience
    • Additional relevant prior technology experience at an investment bank or consultancy firm is preferred, but not required; total work experience should be between 3-5 years
    • Sector knowledge, particularly in software and Internet verticals, supported by execution experience
    • Highly analytical, strong financial modelling skills, and strong investment judgement
    • Proven ability to build relationships with entrepreneurs – candidate needs to be a very strong communicator and should be able to source opportunities independently
    • Hard-working and highly driven – very entrepreneurial set-up
    • Strong team player – needs to fit well into our culture
    • European languages are a plus (ideally French), but not required

    What We Can Offer:

    • Consistent entrepreneur/management level exposure for Analysts & Associates with prospective investment opportunities and current portfolio companies across Europe & Israel
    • Highly flexible capital from Goldman’s balance sheet (agnostic approach to minority/majority, primary/secondary, profitable/unprofitable)
    • Ability to work across products (we can offer companies equity, mezzanine, debt) – focus on growth deals, but flexible staffing model across other deal types
    • Highly entrepreneurial set-up with small and dynamic team that is closely coordinated with our US team
    • Unique, positive and driven culture
