    Enterprise Platforms is a global, multi-disciplinary team responsible for researching, designing, testing and building world-class tools, practices and systems used across Goldman Sachs. Partnering with colleagues from Technology and the business, EP solves critical problems, maintains and strengthens essential systems, provides training and internal consultancy, and safeguards the firm’s culture of high-caliber software engineering. The Reference Data Technology team is unusual in the breadth of exposure it offers to diverse GS businesses. Our applications and data tend to be integral to the innovation of new products and flows, new markets, and industry initiatives.     Product & Pricing Team provides financial instrument and pricing data throughout Goldman Sachs. Externally, we face off to exchanges, clearing houses and vendors in all major growth & mature markets. Internally, we work with a wide variety of teams from the business, operations and technology areas of the firm. Our team builds rich business logic for sourcing, transforming and unifying securities data as well as rules-based exception workflows. It is a complex and dynamic environment, in which we interface to hundreds of sources to enrich millions of securities to support many internal teams.


    Our tech stack covers:

    • Mix of SQL and No SQL databases
    • Enterprise messaging technologies – Kafka, TibcoEMS
    • Java 8  using frameworks like DropWizard, Hibernate, Eclipse collections
    • Search and dashboard tool- Elastic search & Kibana
    • UI framework – Angular4

    Ongoing exciting initiatives includes:

    • Design and build components to support low latency master data management solution for front office OTC derivatives using event-driven patterns and micro-services on top of Kafka and traditional RDBMS
    • Develop a cloud hosted system for Securities master data systems to automate ingestion, transformation & core domain processing of data by leveraging MongoDB and event streaming technologies
    • Develop robust & resilient data replication system of all reference data to the consumers within the Firm using mix of batch and streaming technologies
    • Innovate new ways, using statistical & machine learning techniques, to detect, prevent and fix data quality issues




    We are looking for experienced, well rounded Java developers, with a strong technical and analytical focus who will:

    • Create robust technical platforms based on user requirements to deliver efficient and scalable applications
    • Participate in design and review sessions
    • Provide support for new and existing applications
    • Manage small software development projects from start to finish. 
    • Energy, self-motivation and independence to manage multiple tasks
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Team player, eager to work in a global organization

    Candidates will contribute to strategic system builds and projects driven by business, industry or regulatory needs.  Projects regularly require collaboration with architects, developers and analysts around the globe. A successful candidate is expected to make immediate commercial contribution in hands-on development tasks with Java, while learning other proprietary technologies used in the space.



    • Advanced programming skill in Java, 2+ years of programming experience in application development in Java
    • Strong database skills (SQL/NoSQL)
    • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and distributed algorithms, and designing for performance and resiliency
    • A track record of detailed technical analysis, architectural and development pattern and familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle and tools
    • Experience of effective team working, on multiple projects and collaborating with a global team
    • Experience of working to tight deadlines in an iterative and fast paced and changing environment
    • Basic understanding of financial products
    • Very strong analytical skills, ability to undertake hands-on investigations, identify trends and anomalies and design and implement appropriate technical solutions
