    OPERATIONS

    Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to provide banking, securities, and asset management services to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.

     

    OUR IMPACT

    Investment Banking Operations provide operational support throughout the lifecycle of a Corporate Advisory or Financing Deal. The department is structured as five functional teams within Asia, Europe and the US, including locations in Bangalore and Irving. The teams are set up to manage each deal through logistics of marketing, deal execution, settlement and invoicing of fees and expenses.

     

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

    Principal responsibilities of the Syndicate Execution/Operations team are:

    • ECM Syndicate execution support across AEJ markets – IPOs, block trades, convertible bonds
    • Working on ECM transactions from pre-launch through to completion of  all post-pricing requirements
    • Close coordination with other Syndicate banks to manage the bookbuilding and allocation process
    • Orchestrating stock and cash movements associated with primary and secondary deal activity
    • Providing support and advice to bankers with regards to operational processes impacting deal activity
    • Ensuring MNPI is handled sensitively according to the Compliance & Regulatory framework
    • Ad hoc reports and analysis – regulatory and for the IBD team

     

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    The Ideal candidate for this position will have the following skills:

    • Strong communication skills, able to clearly articulate complex ideas
    • Strong relationship skills with the ability to build networks
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills
    • Strong Excel skills
    • Effective team player
    • Self-starter, able to work towards targets with minimal supervision
    • Commercial awareness, able to understand the impact of the role on client experience and firm profitability
    • Experience in Securities Settlements, Middle Office, Treasury or Liquidity Operations is preferred but not a requirement

     

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • English/Cantonese language skills required
    • Mandarin language skills preferred
