    About Global Investment Research Global Investment Research division (GIR) delivers value-added research to clients in the equity, fixed income, currency and commodities markets and develops global client-focused research in economics, portfolio strategy, derivatives and equity and credit securities. Our clients use these insights and investment ideas to develop their strategies.

    GIR produces original, fundamental research and analysis of industries, companies and economies. Our research teams continually identify and analyze financial information, strategic issues and trends that affect companies, industries and markets on a regional and global scale.


    Job Responsibilities: We are looking for a highly motivated professional to join our GIR Strats group serving global Equities markets. The team works closely with the Tactical Research team, the Directors of Research, the Investment Review Committee members to provide data and identify market trends, track factor performance and perform analysis driven by developments in our service offering. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:


    • Developing and validating quantitative models used:
    • To analyze fundamental datasets in the context of the broader macro picture, to form a market and thematic view in addition to alpha-generating investment strategies
    • To generate Quantitative investment strategies based on companies’ fundamental and market data and perform statistical analysis to determine factors driving performance
    • To generate client tailored solutions leveraging GS data


    • Design and develop infrastructure
    • To externalize GIR datasets via Marquee API used by Quant clients
    • To perform risk and return analysis around GIR datasets
    • To develop tools that support investment process for GIR


    Other responsibilities include:

    • To contribute to writing and publishing of research reports through technical and quantitative analysis.
    • To communicate the conclusions of your work to the team, and potential clients

    Qualifications we are interested in applicants who possess skills in several of the following areas:

    • Sound judgement, responsible and with solid work ethic
    • Strong background in a science, engineering or econometrics field of study (e.g. Mathematics/ Statistics/ Business Analytics/ Financial Engineering/ Computer Science – preferred but not mandatory).
    • Strong quantitative and problem solving skills with focus on the ability to formulate hypotheses, test them
    • Strong base in probability and statistics.
    • Strong programming skills using modern languages e.g. C++/Java/Scala/Python.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and present results highlighting the broader commercial and strategic impact
    • Required to work with significant volumes of data and systems.
    • Ability to work in collaborative and time-sensitive environment
    • Knowledge of finance, stochastic calculus and financial models is preferred.
