    Securities Lending is responsible for facilitating short sales for clients including Hedge Funds, Private Wealth Management and Internal Trading Desks. The Desk manages some of the firm’s most important relationships and deals with a wide range of asset types: equities (international and domestic), bonds (corporate, convertible and sovereign), preferred, and ADRs. In addition to trading, short market color and flow information are provided to clients within the context of their various strategies: equity long/short, arbitrage (convertible bond, index, risk), credit (long/short, distressed), and options. Additionally, the Desk oversees balance sheet transactions and utilizes various products such as ETFs, CDS, options, and SWAPs to hedge and manage risk.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Responsibilities

    • Manage client coverage/relationships and sales for global hedge fund clients
    • Monitor financing spreads, corporate actions, in demand stocks and recalls, as well as any market events
    • Evaluate prospective client long/short portfolios with a view to determine value and sales strategies
    • Develop products and conduct due diligence in new markets
    • Generate on demand color/content for client distribution
    • Prepare and deliver marketing presentations to prospective clients
    • Work with Supply and Trading to maximize and make efficient use of inventory and captive supply    
    • Identify and execute on cross-sell opportunities
    • Manage metrics and efficiencies around client positioning
    • Work with Strats and tech teams to increase efficiency and scale

    Basic Qualifications

    • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic record
    • Solid work ethics and high levels of motivation
    • Hard working and strong willingness to learn
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Detail orientated and driven personality
    • Ability to be flexible within a team environment
    • Ability to self- motivate, multi task and think independently
