PIPG Engineering support Goldman Sachs cross-asset structured products business and are responsible for delivering digital platforms and automation to our clients. We design and build highly scalable pricing, trading and web applications (including public facing), supporting the full trading lifecycle from idea generation and price discovery through primary and secondary trading and lifecycle management. PIPG Engineering is a product driven team, composed of talented and passionate product managers, designers, and engineers working to transform the industry.

  
You will be driving the project delivery pipeline, hands-on development with new features and owning the full software delivery lifecycle of the architecture that supports the newly created PIPG GS Markets website. The role involves working in a client driven, agile environment with the product owners in a close-knit team as a senior member of the delivery team.

The web application is revolutionary, innovative and will continue to grow, outstripping comparable organisations in terms of modern technologies and ground-breaking functionality. The tech stack incorporates Java microservices utilising Kafka, ElasticSearch and Mongo.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.

 

EXPERT KNOWLEDGE IN ONE OF MORE OF

  • Programming in Java, C# or C++
  • Microservice principles
  • NoSQL databases including MongoDB
  • Messaging systems including Kafka
  • An keen interest or knowledge of structured product is preferable
