Business Finance & Spend Management (BFSM) is a part of the Services division and the objective of this group is to deliver commercial value and front-to-back cost transparency across the firm. Under the Spend Management umbrella and focused on the front-to-back theme the Procure to Pay team is divided into 3 pillars - Procurement Management, Expense Management and Accounting & Tax Control.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

 JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Associate role within procurement management requires an individual to work on maintaining third party vendor profiles in ERP system. Also the individual needs to exhibit the ability to identify problems and control gaps and come up with innovative solutions to mitigate the risk. The role also demands the ability to effectively communicate with stake holders across different regions and help build partnerships across different divisions with P2P. Individual will support in process transformation initiatives to bring in efficiencies & controls within the process.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Well versed with end to end Accounts Payable process
  • Perform vendor profile maintenance activities within the ERP system
  • Performing call backs to authenticate the vendor details (eg: address, bank & tax details, etc)
  • Set up new vendor data and amend existing data based on information available after proper authentication checks.
  • Approve vendor setups created/amended by other team members in the team
  • Work with Business units on payment failures and reduce the risk of failed payments
  • Good understanding on the vendor payments and tax documentation requirements
  • Query management and client response
  • Be an active participant/contributor to process re-engineering with / without technology changes
  • Recommend & implement Corrective & Preventive actions for internal errors, Incidents etc.

   

   SKILL/ EXPERIENCE

 

     MANDATORY SKILLS

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic, hardworking and able to work well under pressure
  • Good PC skills (Word, Excel); experience of accounting systems will be added advantage
  •  Ability to work and contribute in a team environment and positively interact with various levels of management

    DESIRABLE SKILLS AND TRAITS

  • Knowledge on accounts payable, vendor management and Invoice processing requirements.
  • ERP experience – SAP, ARIBA
  • Excellent partnership building skills and strong customer service perspective
  • Excellent communication skills .
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
