RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

REGIONAL FINANCE / FEDERATION MANAGEMENT

 

The EMEA Regional Finance team is situated within Federation Management in the Finance Division and reports to Federation leadership in region, with additional oversight and guidance from global Finance Planning & Analytics (FP&A) leadership. The team aims to drive discipline, accountability and efficiency across operating expenses in region by partnering with Financial Reporting, Shared Services CFOs and subject matter experts across firmwide operating expenses. As part of the Federation Management remit, the team supports Federation leadership's control-side role in decisions related to the firm's financial, reputational and operational risks and ensuring effective corporate governance and organizational efficiency.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPERIENCE

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support Federation leadership decision-making through analytics and insightful/actionable reporting
  • Increase accountability of spend by providing divisions with transparency and opportunities for efficiency on their operating expenses through partnership with Financial Reporting
  • Develop, pilot and drive savings initiatives in tandem with subject matter experts across Firmwide operating expenses
  • Enable Firmwide cross-pollination, advise on best practices and implement regional governance
  • Leverage firmwide global strategic capabilities, automation and tools (e.g. Anaplan, Management Studio) to meet regional requirements for reporting

Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification!
  • 0 – 3 years of work experience in a finance or business background, particularly on the quantitative side
  • Exceptional analytical skills, preferably with foundations in data analysis
  • Strong Excel skills. Additional proficiency with VBA, data visualisation software like Tableau or basic knowledge of any coding languages is a plus
  • Comfort with numbers and ability to analyse data in different contexts. Finance or engineering qualification is a plus
  • Enthusiasm for learning new analytical skills/tools is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written communication skills and comfort with PowerPoint in order to prepare materials for senior leadership updates
  • Strong verbal communication ability to present to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to synthesize insights from complex analysis to senior leadership or non-technical audiences
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment
  • Ability to organize and track overlapping tasks and assignments, with frequent priority changes
  • Ability to moderate/drive meetings/initiatives with large groups of stakeholders and capture outcomes and next steps
  • Strong judgement and leadership
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, interacting with various teams and connecting the dots across the firm
  • Commercially-focused and demonstrates drive, enthusiasm and creativity
  • Commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity
  • Strong sense of discretion and judgement given exposure to sensitive information around firmwide strategy, headcount and operating expenses
