Job Summary

 

Candidates joining the Credit SMM Trading desk are engaged in market making in EMEA Investment Grade credit products. The desk offers liquidity primarily in a principal capacity and trade with clients via vendor platforms and directly with clients intermediated! by sales. Team members combine their mathematical, programming and market expertise to generate systematic strategies. The desk looks for individuals with strong mathematical skillsets, programming experience, and who are motivated to get hands on experience with algorithmic trading.

 

Responsibilities

  • Understand and analyze market microstructure, incorporate findings into trading strategies
  • Work with developers to automate common desk workflows, streamline trading process
  • Manage desk risk around special situations and outlier trades

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral degree in a STEM discipline
  • Experience analysing large data sets
  • Experience with an object-oriented programming language

Preferred Qualification

  • Prior trading or sales experience
  • Experience developing scalable software systems
  • Experience of Credit market dynamics and conventions, and of different products' behaviours and specifications
