Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

THE ROLE OF DESIGN ON OUR TEAM

Designers on our team have tremendous responsibility in shaping the team’s strategic vision. We are ruthlessly focused on our customers, their needs, and our opportunity to provide a better experience for them. Design is responsible for understanding, communicating user needs and reframing them into design solutions that improve our product ecosystem. Design collaborates with developers and product managers, as well as members of other teams across sales, trading, marketing and legal to bring exceptional user experiences to life. As a team, we transform large-scale, complex problems into intuitive, simple, and impactful products. Our designers must know the importance of building and maintaining standards through a scalable design system and be confident in defending design choices.

 

 

THE ROLE: YOUR IMPACT

You have a strong reputation delivering world-class user experiences and working on a multi-disciplinary team to bring them to life, contributing to the the creative future of our products. You are peers with the ambitious and talented team of designers to ship game-changing products with our product managers and technologists, while focusing on skill-building, pushing the boundaries of design, collaboration and growth. As a creative and designer, you’ll understand the needs of users and reframe them into delightful experiences for our customers, with a keen attention to detail and curiosity.

 

You are a multifaced designer who has several areas of design, and have experience in user-centered interface design, UX and/or visual design, and have ideally launched product into the world (web, mobile, app, email, and informing advertising, out of home, web, print, DM, and/or social). You are well versed in the end-to-end experience design process, bringing a curiosity for industry best practices, ability to hunt down the latest advancements in trends, emerging patterns, and their applicability to our products. You work best when you are working with a team on cracking complex problems and crafting them into elegantly simple, intuitive designs with an eye for the detail.



RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with users and stakeholders to understand needs and provide definition to the business problems that need solving.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to identify new product opportunities, define problems & goals, map user flows, and oversee the development process.
  • Define user experiences for new and existing digital products in the financial space
  • Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and production quality visual designs
  • Work within and maintain our design system, setting standards for color, type and interaction
  • Collaborate with designers across other teams to workshop solutions, share insights and feedback, and help to grow the firm’s design culture
  • Validate designs and concepts through usability testing
  • Work across the firm with other teams to ensure accuracy and consistency, and to build consensus

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of professional experience designing digital products, UI, Interaction or User Experience Design
  • Entrepreneurial drive and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Multiplatform consumer product design experience
  • Experience in design thinking/ human centered design
  • Collaborate with peers in and out of the discipline
  • Strong ability to work within a defined design system and style
  • Strong graphic sensibility
  • Customer journey definition and design
  • Creative concepting
  • Prototyping
  • Experience working in agile framework
  • Able to apply creative direction
  • Ability to constructively critique design
  • Passionate about solving large-scale customer problems
  • Strong problem-solving and organization skills
  • A positive, constructive can-do attitude
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • An obsession with digital trends and design
  • A clean design aesthetic and the ability to simplify the complex

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Consumer banking or FinTech experience
  • UX or visual / interaction design specialism
