RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

The global markets desk in Sydney is looking for an experienced AUD or NZD interest rates trader to join the team.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Active quoting to clients on AUD & NZD interest rates products
  • Risk management of AUD & NZD rates books maintained for client facilitation
  • Active generation of trades ideas and pitching to clients to promote franchise
  • Work with sales and structuring to facilitate full gamut of products and services
  • Liaise with middle/back office to ensure seamless trade execution and minimize operational risk
  • Comply with all applicable internal rules and external regulations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 years’ of relevant interest rates trading experience
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic record 
  • Client-focused with strategic, long term mind-set
  • Great attention to detail, ability to multi-task
  • Solid work ethic and high levels of motivation
  • Strong team player
