YOUR IMPACT

 

Commodities quantitative researcher will work closely with both trading team and strategies team to conduct research and statistical analysis in commodities market

 

We are looking for a highly-motivated individual with a passion for data to model and analyze complex systems. The successful candidate will be empowered to be commercial and help drive profitability for the business

 

OUR IMPACT

 

The Global Markets Division enables our clients to buy and sell financial products, raise funding and manage risk. We make markets and facilitate client transactions in fixed income, equity, currency and commodity products. In addition, we make markets in and clear client transactions on major stock, options and futures exchanges worldwide. Through our global sales force, we maintain relationships with our clients, receiving orders and distributing investment research, trading ideas, market information and analysis.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

HOW YOU WILL FULFIL YOUR POTENTIAL

 

  • Drive desk analytical framework build up
  • Work closely with traders and strategies to build detailed models to analyze commodities supply and demand
  • Produce ad hoc analysis based on short term market developments
  • Build models and analytics that lead directly to market understanding and valuations interpretation
  • Evaluate and work with new data sources and analytics packages in developing strategies

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Prior experience in a position applying advanced quantitative techniques in solving highly complex data intensive problems, in areas including fundamentals quantification, systematic trading strategy
  • Ability to complete comprehensive commodities research, prefer prior experience in analytics work involved in onshore China market
  • Strong academic record in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Chemical Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong mathematical and statistical modeling skills preferred
  • Knowledge of derivatives, empirical anomalies, macroeconomic analysis and market micro-structure preferred
  • Must be a team player
