The firm's Consumer business, Marcus by Goldman Sachs, combines the entrepreneurial spirit of a startup with more than 150 years of experience. Today, we serve millions of customers across multiple products including lending, deposits, financial tools, and our partnership with Apple on Apple Card. We use innovative design, data, engineering and other core capabilities to provide customers with powerful tools and products that are grounded in value, transparency and simplicity. As we build a leading digital consumer bank and expand into new products and partnerships, we are looking for leaders and individual contributors to join our team.

 

Job Summary & Responsibilities

  • Define feature development, build consensus among stakeholders and partner with engineers and designers to deliver high quality experiences
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative customer feedback to inform product strategy and pipeline development
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria and groom stories with developers and designers
  • Collaborate with other product managers and designers to ensure cohesiveness of the overall customer experience
  • Own and drive a product roadmap initiative to meet business goals, achieve key performance indicators and provide a world-class customer experience
  • Work in complex, cross functional teams with strong influence, communication and ability to incorporate the contributions, objectives and constraints of all into a highly user experience centric function
  • Work with local business leadership and US stakeholders to define user experience priorities, design goals and frameworks supporting a digital oriented multi-channel approach
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of the Marcus UK digital assets, including website, app and internal digital systems
  • Implement and utilize conversion rate optimization (CRO) tools to enhance customer experiences
  • Work with Marketing team and acquisition channel partners to optimize and customize application journeys and funnels to maximize effectiveness of the digital channel
  • Maintain a full understanding of relevant UK compliance and regulatory issues

Skills

  • 3-5 years of product based experience with a desire to work in a fast-paced, agile product development environment
  • You are an innovator with a deep understanding of digital channels, a track record of innovation and a focus on increasing sales while decreasing cost per acquisition
  • Experience leading cross functional teams
  • Proven analytical skills and problem solving ability paired with meticulous attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership of and accountability for projects
  • In-depth knowledge in iOS and/or Android mobile and tablet platforms
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal stakeholders
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, consistently adhering to strict deadlines and evolving priorities
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience developing rapid prototypes

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ Degree required, supported by relevant qualifications in digital product management & implementation
  • Experience of working in an agile environment, creating user stories and writing acceptance criteria
  • Experience with consumer products/services, with emphasis on financial products requiring compliance review

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a fintech or start up preferred
